Your everyday life – contribute to Sweden's defense capability
The Analysis and Control Unit operates throughout Sweden and the group is part of the management support unit and the management department. The unit's main responsibility is to deliver quality-assured controls and analyses of facilities. Here, compliance with user requirements, operational reliability, and operational durability are checked. Employees are also responsible for and conduct training initiatives internally and externally within their areas of expertise.
As an electrical engineer, you work in teams of four to five people who carry out inspections of facilities. You actively participate in the unit's efficiency work, have ownership over ensuring that the unit's documentation is up to date, are responsible for the electrical competence area during the execution of tests, and help drive the changes that need to be made within your area.
Tasks and responsibilities included in the role:
- Evaluate, analyze, and document results of inspections.
- Develop proposals and recommendations for technical solutions.
- Act as an electrical and electrical environment expert in the unit and be the electrical safety leader.
- Establish measuring instruments and perform measurements. Dismantling/assembly of touch protection and casing for thermography.
- Produce accurate, well-documented results, analyses, and reports.
- Maintain good customer relationships with clients.
- Participate in training in the field.
- Act as an advisor to project managers and property managers.
A significant amount of travel is included in the position as the Fortifications Agency operates throughout the country. The trips include both traveling independently and in groups, with each trip typically lasting four to five days, and we strive for good planning of accommodations for these.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is an electrical engineering graduate or has a KY education in electrical engineering or another qualification at least at the high school level that we consider equivalent. You have several years of theoretical and practical experience in matters concerning power systems, backup power, UPS, and electrical environments. This experience comes from critical environments such as process industry, ships, mining industry, or protected facilities. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You also have very good administrative skills and experience in expressing yourself in report form. You have a driver's license at least class B.
Experience with electrical systems in facilities with special protection, electromagnetic pulse (EMP), lightning protection, as well as construction and/or inspection and maintenance is an advantage. If you also have experience with constructions and electrical installations within the industry, as well as familiarity with the Swedish Electrical Safety Agency's regulations, both new and old, that is even better. We would also like you to have knowledge of the Armed Forces' operations.

We need you to have a high safety awareness, integrity, good judgment, and a pronounced drive to help protect Sweden's security.

The position is a permanent employment, and a probationary period may apply. The place of employment is Ronneby or as agreed. As a permanent employee, you will be placed in a military position. An employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. A security check with a background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
